The new action guide for the National Park Service is valid from 2023 to 2033 and consists of three volumes: Inventory Plan, Master Plan, and Implementation Plan (database). The plan contains specific indicators for the evaluation of the measures.
The legal basis for the national park is the “Ordinance on the Berchtesgaden Alps and National Park in the version published on February 16, 1987. Last changed on July 10, 2006”. Here the area is demarcated, the purpose of the national park is defined, the bans and bans necessary for protection are laid down, exceptions and regulations for exemption from bans are regulated, and the tasks and goals of national park planning and organization are laid down.
The ordinance of the Berchtesgadener Land district office on the regulation of cycling in the Berchtesgaden National Park of May 25, 1992, last amended on April 12, 2012, makes it clear on which roads and forest paths in the National Park cycling is permitted.
